What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications:
  • Licensed CPA or EA preferred, but 1-2 year experienced tax preparers encouraged to apply.
  • An Associates or Bachelors Degree
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Intuit, Drake, Lacerte, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of federal and DC, MD, and/or VA state tax laws.
• Skills:
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with a paperless environment and workflow management concepts.

Your Role:

• Prepare individual (1040) and small business tax returns (Schedule C, partnerships, and S-Corps).
• Gather and review client documents and ensure accurate data entry.
• Identify potential tax savings opportunities and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Communicate with clients to clarify information and answer tax-related questions.
• Providing feedback, concerns and recommendations to AAG leadership to help the company build processes and evolve.
• Other requirements – tax preparers must be able to sit at a computer for long periods and lift up to 20lbs.

Compensation:

• $25 – $35 hourly based on experience.
• Potential for bonuses based on performance and efficiency.
